Description: This small natural area tucked away on the eastern edge of Camano Island is a hidden gem. You’ll find lots of birds, while hiking a flat and gentle trail near the shore. Combine this trip with other bird-watching walks, or with other Camano Island park visits.
Directions: From I-5, take the Stanwood exit for SR 532 (Exit 212). Drive straight through Stanwood, across the bridge, and then when you reach the junction, turn left onto East North Camano Drive. Turn left onto Sunrise Blvd (stoplight), left onto Iverson Beach Rd., and left again at a T intersection. Head downhill, then turn left again. Drive past some waterfront cottages, and park in the small parking area at the end of the road. You’ll find outhouses, but no other amenities. No permits are needed.
